Target: Topeka

Construction will begin this summer on 143 acres of land located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and SW 57th St. in Topeka, KS. The new building totaling 1.3-million square feet, will be the new regional distribution center for Target Stores. Hiring is expected to begin in spring 2004, with construction being completed later that summer. Target will initially employ over 650 new team members, adding several hundred more in the following five years of the center's operation.
