Medarex Sails Into Sunny Caribbean

Medarex Leases 36,676 SF In Caribbean Corporate Center

Medarex Inc. signed a 7-year lease for 36,676 square feet of flex space at 1320-1324 Chesapeake Terrace located in the Caribbean Corporate Center in Sunnyvale, CA. Built in 1990, the R&D building totals 72,576 square feet on 9.69 acres. Cell Genesys previously occupied the space but was able to negotiate a lease termination with the landlord. Founded in 1987, Medarex is a biopharmaceutical company developing monoclonal antibody-based therapeutics to fight cancer and other life-threatening and debilitating diseases. Ken Candelaria with CPS, The Commercial Real Estate Co. in Santa Clara represented the tenant. Mark Pearson with CRESA Partners in Palo Alto represented Cell Genesys' lease termination and the landlord, MP Caribbean Inc.
