Gerald Eve has hired Hayley Miles from property regeneration consultants Aspinall Verdi as a development partner in its Birmingham offices.
Miles has more than 22 years of experience in the property industry, including at Aspinall Verdi where she worked for just under three years, most recently as a director. She also worked for JLL between 2017 and 2019.
Joining its planning and development team, Gerald Eve said Miles "brings a wealth of expertise to her new position", having worked on high-profile projects in the Midlands. Recent ones include the Birmingham Levelling Up Zones, High Street Digbeth redevelopment, and masterplans for towns such as Chelmsley Wood and Wednesbury.
The firm added: "During her 12 years working in the public sector, Hayley played a pivotal role in initiatives such as the One Public Estate programme, demonstrating her commitment to driving innovation and collaboration.
"Her work with key clients in the private sector, including HSBC, Galliers Homes and IM Properties, underscores her ability to deliver results and build lasting partnerships."
The agency hired industrial specialist Charles Spicer in February earlier this year to serve as the national head of its industrial and logistics team, poaching him from Savills after 16 years. In an interview with CoStar News, Spicer hinted that the company was looking to make a number of recruits to "supercharge the business".
Julia Chowings, partner at Gerald Eve and head of the Birmingham office, said in a statement: "The addition of Hayley to our business, shortly after Charles Spicer’s appointment as national head of industrial and logistics, demonstrates our commitment to attracting the best talent and bolstering the national planning and development team.
"Her extensive experience and proven track record in both the public and private sectors will further enhance our capabilities and strengthen our commitment to delivering innovative solutions for our clients in the Midlands."
