Global fashion brand Saint Laurent has signed a lease to open a flagship store on Bloor Street West in downtown Toronto next year, one of the largest Saint Laurent stores in the world and the largest in Canada.

At 10,400 square feet, the new location encompasses the space previously occupied by J. Crew and Brooks Brothers.

The latest addition to Bloor Street's luxury retail offerings was first reported by Retail Insider and confirmed in a LinkedIn post by Executive Vice President Arlin Markowitz of CBRE's Urban Retail team in Toronto, which helped to arrange the store lease.

ProWinko Canada owns the retail podium of 110 Bloor Street West. Markowitz and the CBRE Urban Retail Team co-listed the retail space at 110 Bloor, with Philip Traikos and Carmen Siegel of Cushman & Wakefield.

The Saint Laurent brand is owned by Kering, a French-based multinational corporation specializing in luxury goods. Its other brands include Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent.

Based in the Netherlands, global real estate investment firm ProWinko recently renovated the retail podium of the mixed-use 110 Bloor Street West building. It spans more than 200 feet along Toronto’s prestigious ‘Mink Mile’ retail corridor, with additional frontage on Cumberland Street and Village of Yorkville Park.

Several prominent luxury brands have recently opened stores in the area. Storefronts for Gucci, St. John, Burberry, Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton are located west of 110 Bloor St., while Zegna and Hermes have stores to the east. Across the street are flagship locations for brands such as Prada, Dior, MCM and others.

The downtown area is located near some of the city’s wealthiest sections, including Rosedale, The Annex and Forest Hill and Bloor St.
