With its wall-to-wall glass and panoramic views, the 42-story Signia by Hilton, Atlanta's largest hotel development in four decades, is a striking addition to the city's skyline.
The 1.25 million-square-foot tower, completed in December, is the tallest building on the west side of Atlanta at 453 feet high. It serves as the headquarters hotel for its owner, Georgia World Congress Center Authority, the group that oversees the convention center. It forms part of a campus that also includes Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons and MLS' Atlanta United FC, and Centennial Olympic Park.
CoStar's Thaddeus Rombauer, a senior architectural photographer, recently shot the building. He said in an interview he used a drone because of the size and height of the hotel. The drone also allowed him to capture downtown Atlanta.
"To show the scale of the building, the drone really helps it shine," he said. "Like putting a tripod in the sky."

Development firm Skanska, in partnership with SG Contracting, built the Signia hotel on the site of the torn-down Georgia Dome. Officials say the $331 million construction project positions the city as a leading destination for meetings and conventions.
The 976 guest rooms feature earth tones and floor-to-ceiling windows. Daily room rates average from $182 to nearly $800 for the first weekend in August, according to Hilton. The hotel offers 11 wellness rooms equipped with air purifiers, aromatherapy infusions and SleepHub sleep aids.

The property has 100,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, three board rooms and a deck and lawn for outdoor events. It also includes a spa, rooftop pool, fitness center and eight food and beverage centers.
Hilton's Signia portfolio caters to luxury global travelers in major cities.
