Interest Rates, Bank Failures Curtail Hotel Sales in Florida

Declining Sales Seen in All Markets Around the State

The number of hotel sales completed in Florida slowed sharply in the early months of 2023 as investors contended with rising interest rates, tightening lending standards and economic uncertainty. Just 81 properties were traded from January through April, down 60% from 202 sales during the same period last year.
