After a year of preparatory work and consultation with contractors, work has finally begun on the renovation of the Maison du Peuple in Clichy-la-Garenne. This remarkable building, part of the history of modern architecture, was designed by Marcel Lods, Eugène Beaudouin, Jean Prouvé and Vladimir Bodiansky in the 1930s. It is distinguished by its metal framework and avant-garde features such as removable floors, sheet steel curtain walls, sliding partitions and a movable roof.
