This is the fifth cut since June, and the fourth in a row. The European Central Bank (ECB) today decided to cut its three key interest rates by 25 basis points. As a result, the interest rates on the deposit facility, the main refinancing operations and the marginal lending facility will be cut to 2.75%, 2.90% and 3.15% respectively, with effect from February 5, 2025.
