The NRP Group, a multifamily developer based in Cleveland, has hired Brett Gelsomino as senior vice president of development for its Florida operations.
In his new role, Gelsomino will lead NRP Group’s expansion throughout Florida, according to a statement from the company. Gelsomino, who has nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, will oversee all aspects of the firm’s development in the state, including site selection, entitlements, project completion and strategy.
Gelsomino will report to Mike Zelenkofske, NRP Group's executive vice president of development.
“Through his leadership we expect to continue to expand upon our robust development efforts in one of the country’s fastest-growing states,” said Zelenkofske in the statement.
Previously, Gelsomino worked with ZOM Development for 14 years and was responsible for the launch of the group’s senior living division. Gelsomino also founded his own multifamily development and investment firm, Gelsomino Housing, in 2022.
“Florida’s housing market is full of potential, and with The NRP Group’s exceptional leadership and resources, we have a tremendous opportunity to address the housing needs of our dynamic and growing population,” Gelsomino said in the statement.
NRP Group’s Florida portfolio includes 6,357 developed units across central and southwestern Florida, including Fort Myers, Venice, St. Petersburg, Tampa and Orlando.
