JLL appoints project management leads; Greystar names director in Phoenix; Colliers taps senior vice president

JLL names regional project management leads

JLL appointed Deborah Romano and Laura Kucharczyk as regional leads for its Project and Development Services, or PDS, for the Americas. Romano is an executive managing director who will lead the New York Tristate area, New England and Canada teams. She has more than 25 years of project management experience. Kucharczyk is executive managing director who will head the Mountain states, Hawaii, Phoenix and Pacific Northwest teams. She returns to JLL after a stint with CBRE and has more than 25 years of experience in design, construction and real estate industries. “As new regional leads for two key Americas markets, Deborah and Laura will ensure the continued success of our PDS business,” said Louis Molinini, Americas market lead for PDS. The PDS teams represent clients in the development, design, construction and branding of commercial real estate projects.

Greystar names director in Phoenix

Commercial real estate firm Greystar promoted Wil Hogue to director of industrial development in Phoenix. In the role, Hogue directs Class A industrial projects from site selection and construction through lease-up, according to the Charleston, South Carolina-based company. Hogue joined Greystar in 2021, arranging $148 million in debt and equity raises, transacting more than 180 acres and completing due diligence for more than 85 potential projects. “His work ethic, market expertise and collaborative approach are a cornerstone of our industrial growth," said Billy Cundiff, managing director of development for Greystar Development and Construction Services, in a statement. Hogue manages a 2.4 million-square-foot industrial development pipeline valued at more than $385 million. Prior to Greystar, Hogue was area manager for Valley Income Properties and founder and principal of Sonata, a real estate consulting firm that assisted with the inception of Greystar’s logistics business. Greystar is the largest apartment owner in the US, according to the National Multifamily Housing Council.

Colliers taps senior vice president for retail

Colliers has added Josh Busby as senior vice president for retail services in Central Florida. Busby will partner with Nate Cutchin and focus on tenant and landlord representation. Prior to Colliers, Busby served as vice president of retail services for Archon Commercial Real Estate. The reunion with Cutchin creates "a powerful synergy as they work together on select deals while also pursuing individual opportunities," said Alex Evans, managing director at Colliers, in a statement. Busby and Cutchin previously worked together at CREC, a firm acquired by Colliers in 2018. Busby reconnected with Cutchin while serving as the senior real estate manager for Surterra Wellness. Busby has negotiated leases for 60 locations nationwide, helping the medical marijuana company expand at a time when marijuana dispensaries were banned or heavily restricted in many states. Cutchin served as Surterra's tenant representative in Central Florida, working with Busby on more than 20 leases in the area.

Graycor adds to leadership team in Southwest division

General contractor Graycor Construction Co. has expanded its Southwest leadership team with the addition of Randy Moon as project executive in Phoenix. Moon supports operations and business development for the division, specifically its warehouse and distribution activity. Moon works under Rusty Martin, the division general manager, and with other members of the leadership team. He has experience in project leadership at The Walsh Group, Meridian Design Build and Alston Construction. His work spans the entire construction cycle, from design and plan approval to project completion. Graycor’s active and recently completed projects in the Southwest include multiple Class A office and industrial buildings at Gilbert Spectrum business park in Gilbert, Arizona, the Rinchem Chemical Warehouses in Surprise and Chandler, Arizona, and the 4 million-square-foot Camelback 303 industrial project in Goodyear, Arizona. “Metro Phoenix is in growth mode and so are we," Martin said in a statement.

JLL hires vice president in Miami

JLL has hired Iker Belauste as vice president on the brokerage's tenant representation team in South Florida. Belauste will serve clients across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties and bolster JLL's office brokerage services, the company said. "South Florida continues to experience growth with an ongoing influx of businesses nationwide seeking to establish or expand their presence in the region,” Rod Barnes, JLL market director for South Florida, said in a statement. As such, Barnes said, Belauste will strengthen JLL in the region at a time when its is outpacing other major U.S. markets in office space demand, leasing activity and business development. Belauste started with JLL in 2019, building a strong foundation in brokerage services before moving to CBRE, where he spent nearly two years as a senior associate, according to JLL.
