Seattle Unemployment Rate Falls Swiftly in October, but Job Gains Still Slow

Labor Force Participation Reaches Lowest Point Since May

Seattle unemployment contracted significantly in October, but job growth continues to slow in the region. The unemployment rate stood at 5.3% for the Seattle metropolitan area, according to preliminary numbers released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That's down from 7.5% in September, based on final numbers.
