Landsea Homes Corp. has tapped an industry veteran to lead sales and marketing for the homebuilder's growing division in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

Will Grimes, who has spent more than 20 years in real estate sales and marketing mostly in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, assumed a vice president role at Landsea. He previously worked for Mattamy Homes and Lennar Homes.

In January, Landsea, a publicly held builder, expanded into the Dallas area when it acquired Antares Homes. While it moved its headquarters from California to 1717 McKinney Ave. in Dallas more than a year ago, Landsea previously had no active developments in the area.

The Dallas-Fort Worth region added almost 152,600 residents between 2022 and 2023 to reach a total population of more than 8.1 million, making it the nation's fourth-largest metropolitan area, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The new residents resulted in the region having the largest numeric population increase nationwide.

The acquisition of Antares gave Landsea a strong foundation in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to Grimes.

"Antares' reputation, breadth of product offerings and overall footprint has helped us build momentum in the market and works in our favor as we continue to expand on the Landsea Homes brand and grow our presence to become a leading homebuilder in the region," Grimes said in an email to CoStar News.

Landsea offers move-in-ready homes and an option that allows homebuyers to design houses that meet their specific lifestyle needs, Grimes added. He also noted the builder launched a High Performance Home program in Dallas-Fort Worth devoted to sustainable building practices that lead to energy-efficient and environmentally friendly houses.

"His ability to identify and address challenging situations, coupled with his passion for innovative and dynamic sales training, make him invaluable to the Landsea Homes team,” Melissa Kelly, the Dallas-Fort Worth division president, said in a statement.
