Population growth in Lincoln, Nebraska, accelerated to eight-year high in 2024

Robust labor market propels resurgence in net migration

The Lincoln metropolitan area, situated 50 miles southwest of Omaha and home to Nebraska's capital city, saw its strongest population growth since 2016 last year, adding nearly 4,200 people, according to the most recent population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau.
