Employment growth slows in Madison, Wisconsin

Office and retail losses offset gains in manufacturing and healthcare

According to the latest preliminary data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, metropolitan Madison's labor force continued to contract in October from its August peak, bringing seasonally adjusted payrolls to 427,200 people. On a year-over-year basis, employment has essentially flatlined, growing just 0.3%.
