Toronto, like many major cities globally, is grappling with a growing surplus of office space. In Toronto’s central business district (CBD) alone, from Dufferin Street to the Don Valley Parkway and up to Wellesley Street, there are over 16.5 million square feet of available office space - equivalent to six Empire State Buildings. Additionally, another 2.7 million square feet is set to be completed by the end of next year, with one-eighth of that still unoccupied.
