Defense contractor HII, one of the largest builders of ships and submarines for the U.S. Navy, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire "substantially all of the assets" of W International, a South Carolina-based metal fabricator specializing in the manufacture of shipbuilding structures, modules and assemblies.
