Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, a publicly traded real estate investment trust based in Greensboro, North Carolina, never officially closed its shopping centers during the Coronavirus outbreak but individual retailers began closing stores in mid-March and by April 6 only 6% of the REIT’s store space was still open.
