CBRE Surveyor Becomes Head of Lease Advisory at Strettons
Property services firm Strettons has appointed Sam Boothby as head of lease advisory. Specialising in commercial lease advisory, Boothby joins Strettons after several years at CBRE where he acted on behalf of landlords including Westfield, Hammerson, Landsec and Schroders as well as a collection of central London landlords. Boothby has expertise in advising corporate clients and occupiers on rent reviews and lease renewals, break removals and re-gears, as well as providing strategic advice for commercial properties and portfolios. Previous clients include Lloyds Banking Group, William Hill and Greggs.
Lynne Fennah To Exit Home REIT
Lynne Fennah, the former chair of charity homes provider Home REIT, will step down from her role as a non-executive director after the firm's financial results. Fennah notified the company on Monday that she would step down from the board on the publication of its 2023 financial results, but would continue to assist the firm on "historic legal and [Financial Conduct Authority] matters". The departing director stepped back from her previous chair role this January after acknowledging the "deterioration in the performance of the company". She was replaced by current chair Michael O'Donnell. Fennah was previously chief financial officer at Empiric Student Property and stepped down in May 2022.
Real Assets Advisor Cluttons Adds to Newcastle Team
Real assets advisor Cluttons has appointed Phil MacCabe as client relationship partner in its digital infrastructure team. MacCabe will play a key role in growing the company’s digital infrastructure services as a core area of strategy and joins from telecommunications firm Liberty Global, where he was a senior asset manager. McCabe will be based at Cluttons’ Newcastle offices, where the firm signed a new lease in the city centre last month. He also returns to the company after an initial nine-year stint with the firm as a surveyor and head of infrastructure transaction management. John Gravett, managing director at Cluttons, said: "Philip will bring great dynamism and energy to our new Newcastle team."
Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation Chair Exits

Liz Peace will step down from the board of the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation in November, after seven years leading one of the capital’s largest regeneration projects. Appointed in 2017 by the Mayor of London, Peace has overseen the regeneration plans for the Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Area.
During her time, a 20-year planning framework for the development has been adopted and affordable homes built. Before her appointment as OPDC chair, she was chief executive of the British Property Federation. The Mayor of London will begin recruitment for a new OPDC chair in August 2024.
Lamb Jumps Between Residential Firms and Lands at Dolphin

Affordable housing developer Dolphin Living has appointed Matthew Lamb as development director from rivals Pocket Living. Lamb will oversee the development strategy of the business, focusing on the delivery of affordable high-quality homes, according to Dolphin.
He was responsible for the planning and delivery of Pocket Living's "one bed one person discount market sale housing" and its first major built-to-rent scheme, Atlas Wharf, in North West London. The recruit has around 20 years' experience in the residential sector, having also worked for BTR developer Essential Living, and for CBRE in its project management team.
Sanderson Weatherall Adds Experienced Operator in Plymouth

Commercial agent Mark Slade has joined Sanderson Weatherall to expand the firm’s agency services in the South West. Slade joins the firm with 25 years’ experience working as a commercial agent in the region’s property market, having been an associate at Bruton Knowles for seven years, according to his LinkedIn profile. The recruit also spent five and a half years as director at Maitlands Commercial and 11 years as an industrial agent at Stratton Creber Commercial. Ashleigh Phillips, head of the company in Plymouth, added: "Having previously worked with Mark for seven years, it is fantastic to be rebuilding a team which has a history of great teamwork and success."
