A top investment banker is scheduled to be one of the key speakers at the National Retail Federation's annual conference in New York early next year.

Goldman Sachs Chairman and CEO David Solomon will participate in a fireside chat with NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay on Jan. 14 at NRF 2025: Retail’s Big Show.

“We look forward to hearing his insights on the Main Stage at Retail’s Big Show and what consumers and retailers can expect from the changing dynamic of the global economic landscape," Shay said in a statement.

Solomon, who has spent his career in investment baking, has been with Goldman Sachs since 1999. In 2017, he assumed the role of president and chief operating officer and was named CEO the following year.

In addition to Solomon, the NRF's lineup of speakers so far includes Michaels Cos. CEO Ashley Buchanan, Target CEO Brian Cornell, Shopify President Harley Finkelstein, Walmart U.S. President and CEO John Furner, New Balance Athletics President and CEO Joe Preston, and Ikea U.S. CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer Javier Quiñones.

The NRF, based in Washington, D.C., is the world's largest retail trade association. Its annual convention will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan from Jan. 12 to 14 and is expected to attract more than 40,000 attendees from nearly 100 countries.
