Property consultancy Rapleys has hired Natalie Jordan as its company secretary after 27 years at Knight Frank.

Jordan is a chartered secretary and is well-versed in corporate real estate including compliance and best practice, intellectual property management, insurance, litigation, case settlements, pensions and benefits, group risk and project management.

She will sit on the leadership committee and join the Ops Board at Rapleys, with the firm saying the hire makes up part of its commitment to investing in people and infrastructure as it scales up its services across its four core divisions: Building Consultancy, Commercial, Planning and Residential, and the central team.

Kate Scholes, head of business operations at Rapleys, said in a statement: "Natalie’s appointment to the newly created role of company secretary is crucial to our leadership as we look to scale the business further in the UK.

"With growth comes an increased investment in governance and infrastructure as we look to continue our investment in people and deliver best-in-class advice to clients. We look forward to working with her as we evolve our business plan which includes further acquisitions and the recruitment and retention of our people."

Rapleys has hired 12 partners and created five ‘heads of’ roles since launching its People Plan in May 2023. They include head of business operations, Kate Scholes, head of property management, Claire Hutchcraft, and head of investment, Rebecca Harper.

In the last 12 months the firm has also opened an office in Cambridge and invested in new prime premises in London and Birmingham, as well as launching new services like its consumer brand ‘Rapleys Living’.
