In a sign that the 93-year-old Empire State Building in midtown Manhattan is withstanding competition from newer New York skyscrapers, the tower billed as the “world’s most famous building” signed office tenants spanning 100,000 square feet while visitors to its observatory have returned to near pre-pandemic levels.
