Start-up Commune, which offers a coliving solution for single-parent families, and Clésence, an ESH based in the Hauts-de-France and northern Île-de-France regions, have signed a strategic partnership. The two players aim to open 50 coliving residences over the next five years, at a rate of 10 per year, for a total transaction volume of €250 million. "In the midst of the housing crisis, and with the alarming situation of single-parent families exploding in the public debate, we need innovative, tailored, turnkey housing solutions for single parents and their children more than ever," emphasizes Tara Heuzé-Sarmini, co-founder of Commune."With this €250 million partnership, Commune and Clésence are accelerating and mobilizing their energies to provide a concrete response to this major social and societal challenge."

The very first Commune residence opened its doors in December 2023 in Poissy. It accommodates around ten families. The second residence, the first developed in collaboration with Clésence AlterEgo, will be located in Roubaix (59) and will be able to accommodate up to 28 families in the coming weeks.

To give itself the means to achieve this ambition, the start-up, which aims to roll out 500 residences in France and around the world within 10 years, has therefore sealed this partnership with Clésence, a subsidiary of Action logement; this same subsidiary launched, in September 2021, its Clésence AlterEgo brand dedicated to tailor-made themed housing. "This coliving residence project provides a concrete response to the needs of families and today's housing style. It fits in with our Clésence AlterEgo brand, which places the resident at the heart of the social bond that is forged day after day," says Catherine Papetti, Director of Clésence AlterEgo.
