Power company Xcel Energy Inc. is selling the Mankato Energy Center, a natural gas-fueled power plant about 80 miles southwest of the Twin Cities, and says it plans to use some of the money generated by the deal for relief efforts tied to the ongoing outbreak of the coronavirus, or COVID-19.
