Oscar de la Renta Set to Open First NYC Store

Retailer Inks 13-Year $20-Million Deal

Oscar de la Renta sublet Sergio Rossi's 2,000 square feet of prime ground floor retail space at 772 Madison Ave., at the northwest corner of 66th Street, for its first Manhattan store. Known best for its shoes, handbags and leather goods, Sergio Rossi is relocating to Soho. Oscar de la Renta's product lines include high end sportswear for men and women; accessories, including bags, belts, jewelry and shoes; and fragrances. Oscar de la Renta plans to open the store by Christmas of 2004.
