Issues ranging from public safety concerns to fewer workers commuting due to hybrid office schedules have had a negative impact on major central business districts, such as Manhattan. The office availability rate in the Big Apple stands at 16.2%, an increase of 520 basis points since the start of 2019 and an increase of 10 basis points from a year ago.
