After the peak in deliveries in 2023, with the delivery of 246,000 m² of office space, including almost 60,000 m² via the To Lyon tower, 2024 should see a more measured pace, with around 210,000 m² expected, notes JLL in one of its latest studies. Future years remain uncertain, however, due to the numerous postponements of construction starts and projects put on stand-by. As Stéphane Jullien, head of the JLL Lyon office team, points out: "Faced with an unprecedented rise in construction costs (inflation, interest rates and new standards), the withdrawal of investors and a wait-and-see attitude on the part of major users, developers have had to adapt their activity and put off projects."
