Cushman & Wakefield picked a longtime employee to oversee a significant business line in the Americas as the firm reshapes its executive structure.

The Chicago-based brokerage promoted Marla Maloney to serve as president of its services lines, while tapping Dan Broderick to serve as president of its advisory business, for North America and South America. The two positions are new roles at Cushman & Wakefield.
In her new position, Maloney will oversee asset, valuation and advisory, and project and development services in the region. Broderick will be responsible for brokerage services across markets in the Americas, one of the firm's highest-profile business lines.
As part of his promotion, Broderick, who is based in San Diego, will join Cushman & Wakefield's global management team. Based in St. Louis, Maloney will continue to be a member of the team.
Both executives report to Andrew McDonald, one of Cushman & Wakefield's two global presidents. Michelle MacKay, who also serves as chief operating officer, is the other president.
McDonald and MacKay were named presidents at the beginning of the year as part of Cushman & Wakefield's executive shuffle that centered on longtime executive John Forrester taking over as CEO.
Forrester became chief executive on Jan. 1, when Brett White stepped away from the top position after serving as CEO and executive chairman from 2015-2021. White continues to serve as executive chairman.
A certified property manager who has been with Cushman & Wakefield for more than 25 years, Maloney previously served as president of asset services for the Americas. In that role, she oversaw efforts to improve the service line’s operation. Maloney led the business through the pandemic, identified business opportunities and added multifamily asset services to the group.
Broderick, who joined Cushman & Wakefield more than a decade ago and worked at Cassidy Turley before that, previously served as president of Cushman's Americas West region that contains the Western U.S., Canada and Latin America. He also oversaw the national industrial practice.
McDonald said in a statement that Maloney and Broderick have been "instrumental to Cushman & Wakefield’s growth in the Americas."
