Cluttons appoints head of sustainability

Real assets advisor Cluttons has appointed Victoria Chater-Lea as head of sustainability to help the business and its clients strengthen their sustainability standards.

Cluttons said she will play a pivotal role in implementing and driving sustainability initiatives across a diverse property management portfolio, working alongside head of commercial Duncan MacIver.

Across the wider business, Chater-Lea will work closely with individual teams to integrate sustainability considerations into the business' advisory services and strategic planning.

She makes the move after almost four years at Berkeley Group, most recently as sustainability manager. Prior to this she was senior environmental advisor for high-profile projects, such as the Heathrow Project and HS2 at Ferrovial Construction.

Chater-Lea is also a chartered environmentalist and chair of the London and South East regional network for Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

MacIver said in a statement: "Victoria brings unparalleled expertise in sustainability and will ensure we continue to cement ourselves as sustainability leaders in the property industry [and] is joining our diverse team of real asset experts to help our clients improve sustainability standards.

"This appointment reflects our commitment to implementing sustainability strategies across our business. With her extensive knowledge and years of experience, Victoria is the best person to lead us forward."

The business also hired Rachel Hogg in its new Glasgow office as partner and head of the infrastructure in November, read here, and Laura Dam Villena, who became head of residential agency.
