Global real estate consultancy Savills has recruited former London Irish rugby union player Thomas Stephenson as an associate director in its debt advisory team.
Stephenson, who spent two years at London Irish, has joined Savills' operational capital markets division, which sits within Savills Capital Advisors. SCA advises clients in the multifamily, single family, co-living, student accommodation, senior living, healthcare, hotels and self storage sectors across the UK and EMEA.
Stephenson arrives at Savills from boutique real estate advisory business RockCap, where he was a director for a year, according to his LinkedIn page. He was previously asset finance advisor at specialist debt advisory firm at Arc & Co between 2020 and 2023.
Before turning to a career in debt advisory, Stephenson played for London Irish and Northampton in the English Premiership, making more than 30 appearances. He plays centre.
Earlier this month, Savills acquired flexible advisory business Situu, in a deal to expand its own flexible office platform, Workthere. The team of ten works with landlords across London locations, including Canary Wharf, Fitzrovia and Soho.
