Crown Equipment Purchases Industrial for $1.5M

Manufacturer To Relocate HQ to 455 W. Monroe

An 116,300-square-foot industrial building at 455 W. Monroe St. in New Bremen sold to the Crown Equipment Co. Crown is a leading manufacturer of electrical lift equipment from pallet jacks to forklifts. The price paid for the facility was $1.5 million, or about $13 per square foot. Crown Equipment Co. will fully occupy the building and relocate its headquarters from 44 S. Washington St. in New Bremen. The seller was the St. Louis-based company, Solae, a division of DuPont Industries. Solae manufacturers soy based products that can be found in more than 35 different food products. Mike Mullady and Mike Hurd of CB Richard Ellis represented the seller. The buyer representatives were not disclosed.
