Over the first five months of the year, consumer spending in Alberta was 0.26% lower than the same time in 2023. Surprisingly, Alberta was the only province with lower consumer spending, while other provinces saw an increase ranging from 0.32% in British Columbia to a substantial increase of 2.07% in Ontario.
