Equity Inns Buys Courtyard Carlsbad for $22M

Tennessee-based REIT Also Adds Four Hotels in Michigan and Illinois To Portfolio

EQI Carlsbad Partnership LP, an entity of Memphis-based Equity Inns Inc., recently purchased the 145-room Marriott Courtyard hotel at 5835 Owens Avenue in Carlsbad, CA from Carlsbad HHG/APM Hotel Venture LP, controlled by Huntington Hotel Group, a Texas-based developer and operator of Marriott and Hilton branded hotels.
