Morgan Stanley to Acquire AMLI Residential for $2.1B.

All-Cash Deal Expected to Close in the First Quarter of 2006

Morgan Stanley Real Estate's Prime Property Fund struck a deal to acquire Chicago-based multifamily REIT AMLI Residential Properties Trust (AMLI) for $2.1 billion in cash and assumed debt. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2006 upon approval by AMLI's common shareholders.
