Louisiana Region Added 8,000 Jobs Over the Past 12 Months

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Louisiana's Baton Rouge region added 8,000 new jobs during the trailing 12-month period ending in April. When excluding boom-and-bust years such as the Great Recession and the COVID pandemic, the region has typically added an average of 6,600 jobs during this period.
