Houston's Industrial Market Sees Heightened Leasing Activity Amid Pandemic

But Record New Supply Is Leading to Deep Vacancies

Leasing in Houston’s industrial sector grew by 6% in 2020 over the prior year despite the almost year-long pandemic. After briefly dipping in the second quarter, leasing activity skyrocketed from a low of 1 million square feet in April to a record high of over 4 million square feet in December.
