Global real estate firm Avison Young has confirmed two hires in its Glasgow office as part of its continued growth in Scotland, with Clare Jamieson and George Ho joining.

Jamieson, who enters as a senior architect, has more than 25 years of design and construction experience across the public and private sector. She ran her own architecture practice for more than seven years before joining and will sit on the firm's building consultancy team.

Ho, who becomes a surveyor in Avison Young Glasgow’s real estate, facilities and infrastructure management business group, has more than 20 years' experience in property management and previously worked in Hong Kong, where he managed retail properties.

Iain King, director at Avison Young in Glasgow, said in a statement: "We are continuing to strengthen our presence in Scotland, providing strategic solutions for our clients, and Clare’s appointment is a key aspect of that. Her unrivalled experience is already helping our building consultancy team in making great strides in enhancing our offering."

Helen Ewles, jead of Scotland and North East, REFIM at Avison Young, added: "George’s wealth of experience in retail asset management will play a crucial role as we continue to support growth in the region. His expertise will ensure we offer our clients the highest level of service and local knowledge, strengthening our position as leaders in real estate management for both the retail sector and broader property markets."

In March Paul Broad, regional managing director for Glasgow, was promoted to managing director of Avison Young's national offices team, reported here. His new role involves him leading 35 advisers across the regions.
