Helical, the listed central London development-focused real estate business, has promoted Eleanor Gavin to group company secretary.

Gavin, who begins her role from 1 April, succeeds James Moss who was announced as the group's CFO-designate last week, read here.

Helical confirm that Gavin will also join its executive committee from the beginning of April. She started at the firm in 2019 and has been deputy company secretary since May 2022.

Gavin has more than 11 years corporate governance and legal experience in both the listed and private sectors and is a Chartered Company Secretary. She is also a Fellow of The Chartered Governance Institute of UK and Ireland.

Richard Cotton, chairman at Helical, said in a statement: "We have all appreciated her valuable guidance over the past five years and look forward to continuing to work closely with her in the future. Her appointment is a good example of the group’s succession planning and development processes."

Helical confirmed last week that Moss would succeed Tim Murphy as chief financial officer at this year's annual general meeting in July. Murphy spent more than three decades at the business.
