Colliers hires to environmental team in London

Jim Lightbown has joined Colliers’ environmental team from consulting firm RPS, a Tetra Tech Company, specialising in contaminated land.

As lead for the London geo-environmental team in RPS, Lightbown was responsible for the design, management and delivery of technical risk assessments, remedial and waste management strategies and impact assessments.

He has more than two decades' sector experience, having worked for the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, Waterman Energy Environment & Design and Arcadis.

This involved him working with clients such as Legal and General, Gatwick Airport and Logicor Europe.

Lightbown joins Colliers' existing 11 environmental consultants advising on projects across the UK. He also has an MSc in Environmental Science from the University of East Anglia.

Dan Fitch, PBC director for Colliers and head of the Environment team, said in a statement: "[Jim] is a key hire and brings with him a wealth of experience, adding substantial value to our service offerings."

Last month the global agency added recruited hotel development and investment specialist Richard Candey, read here, to its 40-strong hotels team, who joined from Cushman & Wakefield.
