Spanish retail giant Zara is in talks to lease Prologis's 628,943-square-foot Prologis RFI DIRFT DC628 development in Northampton in the East Midlands, CoStar News can reveal.
The distribution facility sits at the heart of the UK's road and rail network as part of phase three of Prologis's giant DIRFT logistics park on Dirft Drive in Northampton. Other tenants at the park include Sainsbury's, Tesco, Boohoo and M&S. Royal Mail has selected phase three as the site of its largest UK distribution hub.
The hub includes 21,605 square feet of offices, 10 electric vehicle charging spaces, and 18 metres clear internal height, targeting BREEAM Excellent and net zero carbon construction.
Zara is a Spanish multi-national retail clothing chain with its head office is in Arteixo, in A Coruña in Galicia. It is the largest company in the Ortega family's Inditex group.
All parties involved declined to comment.
JLL and Savills advise Prologis while CBRE is understood to be advising Zara.
