Amped Fitness leased 35,000 square feet of retail space for its first location in Tallahassee, Florida.

The St. Petersburg, Florida-based fitness chain took over space formerly owned by another gym and amped it up with new designs, amenities and cutting-edge technology.

The Tallahassee location in Governor's Square marked the 22nd franchised gym for Amped. The project has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CoStar Impact Award for lease of the year, as judged by a local team of real estate professionals familiar with the market.

About the Deal: Amped Fitness signed a 10-year lease for its space at 1654 Governors Square in East Tallahassee.

What the Judges Said: "Great new addition to the tenant line-up and will generate traffic to help the retail in this area continue to thrive," said Debbie Ashlin, commercial adviser with NAI Talcor Commercial Real Estate Services.

They Made It Happen: William Jones and Matheus Gold of Mishorim Gold Properties and Jeremy Foley of MGold Properties represented the landlord.
