Sandwell in the West Midlands and Hull will each receive £20 million of government funding as part of a levelling up initiative aimed to deliver "bespoke regeneration" across 20 locations in England, with the initial handouts helping to build new housing in the Midlands and upgrade an east Yorkshire waterfront.
