A former leasing executive at global mall giant Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has joined 1-800-Flowers.com as its head of real estate.

In his new role, Dennis Marnick will manage a diverse portfolio of over 6 million square feet for the online flower delivery service, overseeing distribution, manufacturing, office, fulfillment and retail properties, he posted on LinkedIn.

His duties at Jericho, New York-based 1-800-Flowers.com, include evaluating opportunities across its 4,000 acres of owned land to maximize their value and growth potential, and collaborating with brand presidents to identify and pursue real estate growth opportunities for 18 distinct brands.

The company was founded in 1976.

Prior to his new job, Marnick spent eight years at Unibail as senior vice president of flagship leasing based in the greater New York region, working with the company’s highest-performing malls.

"I led a highly motivated and innovative team of commercial leasing agents covering half of Westfield’s U.S. portfolio," Marnick said on his LinkedIn profile. "I always looked to the future and new technologies to help guide our clients in the quickly evolving world of retail. ... My responsibilities included growth and development of all aspects of flagship projects while delivering maximum value to the business."

Before that, Marnick spent 13 years as senior vice president of national account leasing for Westfield, which Paris-based Unibail acquired in 2018. During his tenure, Marnick said he completed all national accounts deals for several multibillion-dollar developments, including expansions of the Westfield Century City, Westfield UTC and Westfield Valley Fair malls in California.
