Cresa Adds Trio in Los Angeles
Cresa, the brokerage that exclusively represents occupiers, added three veteran brokers to its Los Angeles team. Shawn Sala, who returned from Savills, joined Chicago-based Cresa as a principal. In his new role, Sala will lead a multi-disciplined practice group focused on delivering real estate strategies to private equity firms and their portfolio companies, Cresa said. His list of clients includes tenants in the technology, media, entertainment and legal industries. David Callahan, who rejoined Cresa from Hughes Marino as a principal, is a 20-year industry veteran. Callahan has clients in the legal, technology, science, engineering and entertainment industries. Matt Perrigue joined Cresa as a senior vice president. Perrigue, who has more than 25 years of experience representing Fortune 500 users with local projects and managing their multi-market office and industrial portfolios, previously worked at JLL. The additions of Sala, Callahan and Perrigue are part of Cresa's plan to grow in the area, said Dennis Smith, Cresa’s managing principal and market leader for greater Los Angeles.
CBRE Recruits Brokers From Rival in Greater Philadelphia
CBRE has recruited three former JLL executives in Philadelphia and Radnor, Pennsylvania. Ashley Parrillo joined CBRE as a senior vice president and Anthony LiVecchi and Peter Barnes as first vice presidents, the brokerage said. At CBRE, the team will focus on office tenant representation and account management across the greater Philadelphia area, the firm said. At JLL, where Parrillo spent eight years, she assisted numerous major companies and organizations with their workplace strategies and structured several large transactions in the market. LiVecchi served as a senior vice president at JLL, where he represented several multi-market companies in their real estate needs and advised owners of trophy office buildings in Philadelphia. During his time at JLL, Barnes advised a variety of corporate real estate users and helped them devise real estate strategies to support their business needs. The trio's "market knowledge and collaborative approach to tenant service make them ideal additions" to the brokerage, said Rija Beares, CBRE’s greater Philadelphia market leader, in a statement.
JLL Taps Veteran To Lead Houston Property Management
JLL has tapped Ed Bovermann, who has more than 20 years of real estate experience, to serve as regional managing director of its property management group in Houston and New Orleans. Before joining JLL, Bovermann worked at Hines and Transwestern. In his new role at JLL, he will work to increase tenant engagement and fortify operations throughout JLL’s management portfolio in the region, the brokerage said. Bovermann is active with the Building Owners and Managers Association, or BOMA. He served as president of Texas BOMA in 2023 and president of the Houston BOMA in 2019. Bovermann replaced Connie O’Murray, who now leads JLL’s medical real estate property management group.
Stotan Industrial Expands to California, Hires Market Officer
Stotan Industrial, a private investment firm that buys and develops industrial properties in high-growth markets, has opened an office in El Segundo, California. In conjunction with the expansion into the Golden State, Stotan hired industry veteran Will McPhee to serve as vice president and market officer of the Chicago-based company's new California operation. In his new role, McPhee will spearhead the firm’s quest for West Coast investments by targeting the markets of Las Vegas, Reno, Nevada, Phoenix, Salt Lake City and Southern California. McPhee joined Stotan from Overton Moore Properties, where, as a vice president, he oversaw acquisitions, entitlements and leasing in California's Inland Empire, and in Nevada and Utah. During his time at Overton Moore, he expanded the firm’s development pipeline by 6 million square feet. "This expansion to Los Angeles represents a pivotal moment in the company's growth and underscores our dedication to delivering outstanding results for clients nationwide,” Stotan Chief Investment Officer and Principal Dan Fogarty said in a statement.
Colliers Hires Industrial Broker in Atlanta
Colliers U.S. has added Jamal Banks as an industrial broker in Atlanta, He joined Colliers from rival Cushman & Wakefield. In his new role at Colliers, Banks will focus on providing industrial advisory services to clients in and beyond Georgia, the firm said. He has eight years of experience in business development and client relations.
The addition of Banks is part of Colliers' plan to grow its industrial services group, Atlanta market leader Nathan Knowles said.
At Cushman & Wakefield, Banks sourced industrial transactions and guided them from inception to closing. "One of the keys to success throughout my career has been building strong, mutually beneficial relationships," Banks said in his LinkedIn profile.
