Beaumont, Texas’ population losses continue

Domestic migration outflows are primary culprit

The population in Jefferson County, the county seat of Beaumont, Texas, declined by 118 people, between July 2022 and July 2023, according to new estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, the smallest loss in more than four years but still a loss. Since 2020, the parish has lost almost 5,100 residents due to out-migration to other parts of the state or country.
