Brighton office rental growth strengthens as construction falls to seven-year low

Options for large occupiers are particularly tight across the region

Office construction in Brighton has fallen below 100,000 square feet for the first time in five years as high borrowing and construction costs deter developers from starting projects speculatively. Just 85,000 square feet of office space is now being built across the Brighton region, a fall of almost 75% from the market’s 10-year high point of 326,000 square feet at the end of 2022.
