EnerSys, a publicly traded company specializing in stored energy solutions, has secured its fourth location in Springfield, Missouri.

The company signed a new lease at 4161 W. Webster St., and the deal has earned a 2025 CoStar Impact Award for lease of the year for Springfield, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.

With nearly 11,000 employees worldwide, EnerSys plays a critical role in the energy storage industry, and its continued expansion in Springfield highlights the city’s importance as a hub for manufacturing and distribution.

The expanded presence of EnerSys is expected to increase job creation and business activity in the area. The addition of this facility strengthens the company’s logistics and supply-chain operations.

About the deal: EnerSys leased all 130,000 square feet in the distribution building for five years. The property has a 32-foot clear height and 14 docks.

What the judges said: "The facility boosts Springfield’s economy by creating jobs and increasing business activity, enhancing its reputation for industrial and technological innovation. It also strengthens the company’s logistics and supply chain while demonstrating confidence in the local workforce and infrastructure," said Tyler Ray, commercial real estate adviser at Moreno Group Commercial Realty.
