Thomas Lawrence & Sons has signed law firm Lifetime Legal for 12,334 square feet of offices at Albion, Fishponds Road, Wokingham, CoStar News can reveal.
The company was located in Camberley and Green Park, Reading, and has signed a new 10-year lease at the near-18,000-square-foot office.
Albion is a two-storey building which is undergoing refurbishment, with emphasis on ESG, to include the installation of new low carbon air-conditioning, LED lighting, "superloos", electric car-charging points, and kitchen facilities. A suite of 4,900 square feet remains available, located on the ground floor and with 21 secure car parking spaces.
Graeme Canning, head of property at Thomas Lawrence & Sons, said in a statement: “We are pleased to welcome Lifetime Legal to Wokingham and Albion as a major occupier of our, soon-to-be, fully refurbished office building. Both parties worked collaboratively to ensure that this transaction progressed swiftly and will deliver the quality of offices required by Lifetime Legal, and other occupiers, today and into the future.”
Rob Sendall, chief executive of Lifetime Legal and Smart Compliance, said: "This move marks an important step in our expansion, providing the space and facilities needed to enhance our services and further our teams’ success."
Jonathan Mannings, managing director of letting agents Rare, said: "We were able to demonstrate the commitment Thomas Lawrence & Sons have to delivering the best quality space, with a strong emphasis on ESG, which appealed to Lifetime Legal in their decision to co-locate their two existing offices to the building. We were especially pleased that we were able to agree a letting ahead of the planned refurbishment works.”
