Eviction orders are often filed with local court systems and can be very difficult to access. The Eviction Lab at Princeton University has been tracking eviction actions in 17 cities since the onset of the pandemic, offering a window into how moratoriums and other measures have affected the number of people forced to move. In several places, the number of eviction filings fell sharply in March as the coronavirus began to spread in the U.S. and have remained low, but in select cities, those numbers have started to rise again as relief efforts expire.
