A new 292-room Hilton hotel is coming to the Nashville International Airport via a development partnership between Chartwell Hospitality and Rockbridge.

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority had previously selected Chartwell in 2020 to be its hotel partner for the "BNA Vision Plan," and Chartwell announced Tuesday it is partnering with Rockbridge to develop the Hilton-branded hotel, according to a news release.

Vertical construction on the Hilton hotel began July 1. Nashville-based Crain Construction is the general contractor on the project. The hotel is expected to include approximately 16,000 square feet of meeting space, a rooftop pool and Sky Bar as well as a full-service restaurant and fitness center.

“Chartwell Hospitality is thoughtful about every property we develop, ensuring all industry and local regulations are met and every amenity is carefully planned,” Will Schaedle, executive vice president of Chartwell Hospitality, said in the release. “Our experience in thoroughly executing properties of this caliber has led us to an increased amount of development at airports, metropolitan neighborhoods and beyond. We are proud to work with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority and we are eager to see this property become an asset to travelers. We are also excited about the partnership with Rockbridge and continuing our relationship with them.”

The hotel will be the tallest building at BNA and the first MNAA property at the airport's terminal door.

It's anticipated that hundreds of construction jobs will result from this project as well as 150 full-time jobs once the property opens. Chartwell has previously said the hotel is scheduled to open in late 2023.

Chartwell Hospitality is a Franklin, Tennessee-based fully integrated real estate company specializing in the acquisition, development and management of branded limited-service and full-service hotels. Rockbridge is a Columbus, Ohio-based private investment firm specializing in real estate and hospitality assets.
