Once an economic engine for the state, the former Goodyear Tire manufacturing plant in Gadsden, Alabama, which has sat dormant for several years, has been acquired by Phoenix Investors, a national commercial real estate firm based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that specializes in revitalizing former manufacturing facilities across the country.
